Secret Combinations, Righteous Reigns, Famine, and Repentance of the Jaredites

Ether 9 details the rise and fall of several Jaredite kings. Omer's kingdom is overthrown by secret combinations, but he is divinely warned and flees. His son Emer and grandson Coriantum reign righteously, bringing prosperity and seeing divine manifestations. However, wickedness returns with Heth, leading to famine and poisonous serpents, which only cease after the people humble themselves and repent.
