Ether 6
Jaredites cross the great deep, land in promised land, and choose a king.
The Jaredites embark on their journey across the ocean in barges illuminated by miraculous stones. They endure fierce winds and deep waters for 344 days, constantly praising the Lord for their preservation. Upon reaching the promised land, they humble themselves and begin to multiply and prosper. Later, they desire a king, and despite warnings of captivity, Orihah is chosen to reign, leading the people in humility and prosperity.

“And they did land upon the shore of the promised land. And when they had set their feet upon the shores of the promised land they bowed themselves down upon the face of the land, and did humble themselves before the Lord, and did shed tears of joy before the Lord, because of the multitude of his tender ___ over them.”
