The Lamanites, led by Amalickiah, attempt to conquer the Nephite cities of Ammonihah and Noah, expecting easy victories. However, Captain Moroni's strategic fortifications and the Nephites' preparedness lead to the Lamanites' utter defeat, with thousands slain and no Nephite lives lost. Enraged by this failure, Amalickiah curses God and Moroni.
