Jaredites journey to promised land, chastened by Lord, build barges, seek light for journey.
The Jaredites, led by Jared and his brother, journeyed from the valley of Nimrod into the wilderness and eventually to the seashore, where they dwelt for four years. The Lord chastened the brother of Jared for neglecting to call upon Him. After repentance, the Lord commanded them to build tight barges for their sea voyage. The brother of Jared then sought guidance from the Lord regarding light and air within these vessels.
