Nephi testifies of Christ and warns of judgment
Corrupt judges of the Gadianton band attempt to turn the people against Nephi, who has been testifying of their wickedness. Nephi boldly defends himself, reminding the people of Moses and the brazen serpent, and emphasizing that all holy prophets from Abraham to Jeremiah testified of Christ's coming. He then reveals by inspiration that the chief judge has been murdered by his brother, who is also part of the Gadianton band. Nephi warns the people that their rejection of truth and increasing wickedness are ripening them for destruction.
