Alma 24
The Anti-Nephi-Lehies, having repented of their sins, covenant to bury their weapons and never shed blood again, even in self-defense. When attacked by unconverted Lamanites, they bravely suffer death, refusing to break their sacred covenant. This act of faith and sacrifice softens the hearts of many attackers, leading to their conversion and a greater number joining the people of God than were slain.
